Tech Tip: Word Counter

I use Google Chrome and I downloaded the Word Count Tool extension earlier this semester. Two words: life saver. Whenever I had to write up discussion posts on Canvas, I always felt like it was such a hassle to constantly copy and paste whatever I wrote into a word counting website in another tab. Especially as I approached the word limit, I would find myself copying and pasting after every few words. This, in hindsight, was such an unnecessary expenditure of my time. I am the kind of person that initially struggles with the idea of hitting the minimum word limit, but as I continue to write, I lose track of myself and end up going over the limit and having to force myself to trim it down. Using the Word Count Tool has saved me several precious minutes of copying and pasting and has helped me stay on track for the lengths of my blog posts this semester.
